Oh there’s something so beautiful about rain storms. The pattering it brings as it dances off of the Earth’s floor, the cleansing it brings the streets, the nutrients to the plants, and the music it brings my ears as my window sits cracked open. Only to be followed by glistens of light through the night making a sharp boom and heavy thump. It’s as if the rain, thunder, and lightening are all one. They relate to the trinity in an odd way. God the Father like the rain never ceases to keep pursuing what’s on the Earth’s ground. He cleanses and nurtures her in such a way that He rejoices over her with singing and dancing. Jesus can be seen in the lightening. Doing things that would not be expected but are dangerous and radical. Bringing light to a completely dark world as the lightening does the completely dark night sky. Oh and the power of the thunder. Such power now that my walls are shaking. Who else can shake the Earth and move in power as Holy Spirit can. It’s odd you see, through a simple rain storm I’ve seen the Trinity revealed to me.

I had such a great night! I went to Tyler State Park with some friends for a nice nature walk. After I went to a cookout at my Cross Country coaches house and we got our summer training schedules. My highest mileage week will be 40 miles and my longest run will be 9 miles. I’m not as intimidated by it as I thought that I would be. The BBQ was really fun and I feel like I fit in with the team. I’m really excited! All of my friends went out to the movies but I decided to stay back. My plan for the rest of the night consists of drinking tea and doing some reading. Tomorrow I’m going to wake up and go for a nice long run and than try to complete my sociology final project all in one day, we will see how this goes! Happy Friday, I love you guys!
